I’m Andrew Wilson, a trumpeter, composer and researcher. Nu Dawn is the evolving home of my music, scholarship and experimentation. My work connects contemporary jazz, additive rhythm and microtonality through modern composition & performance, as well as collaboration.
Andrew Wilson is a jazz trumpeter, composer, and researcher undertaking doctoral study. Through Nu Dawn, he connects performance and composition with research into complex meter, additive rhythm, microtonality, and hierarchical musical organization. His work includes Don Ellis research, experimental recordings and compositions.
